No matter you heard of Confucius Institute or not after you came to UG, let me assure you one thing that I learnt from one of you student while choosing what foreign language to learn. I didn’t use to know that you guys thought that learning Mandarin, you have to write Chinese characters from the very beginning. But let me clarify this once again: NO, you learn PINYIN first, which is identical to English alphabet, with only a little difference in pronunciation. It’s not that hard for beginners. Welcome everyone to join us to learn Mandarin, it’s free and four credit course. Why not give it a try? You will love it. The registration begins from January 28 and runs until February 2.
